Aw man, Lucas. My heart breaks for the kid, it seriously does. He makes me cry sissy tears.

If you're interested in knowing why, I'll provide an explanation. But I hope you're really interested enough to read through all of it. This is cutting out a LOT about the other characters just so I could keep it as short as I could.

BUT FIRST, the picture. Yes, it is done. I can't think of anything more I'd like to do with it. Inking it would be an awful waste of that shading, so it stays. I really wish I could have shaded the grass better, given it some texture. That's one thing I'm really regretting.

Also, I can't draw clouds.

MEGA ULTRA SPOILERS BEWARE

Lucas loses everyone who matters to him. Seriously. I'm surprised his friends and his dad lasted as long as they did. He watches his mother die, sees his father beating the living daylights out of people after hearing the news, has the blame of his twin brother's death pitted onto him by his grandfather and then three years later, he has to stop a tyrannical king.

And not only that, but Lucas' dad Flint pretty much ignores him and stays in the mountains looking for Claus. His body was never found, and Flint can't accept that he's dead. Lucas sees a chance to save his people from an insane dictator bent on destroying the world - Racing him to the Seven Needles. Lucas' competition is a boy in a helmet. The boy is powerful and merciless.

Then at the end of the game, the Masked Boy is revealled to be Claus, reconstructed and brought back by the Pig King. He remembers his past and what he's done to people. The guilt proves too much to bear and even with Lucas' pleas and begging, Claus kills himself with his own PSI.

Lucas ends up succeeding, but... Damn. You have to wonder how the kid turned out after all that.
